Joe Cataulin has been teaching piano at WSOTA since 2019. He was a former student at WSOTA starting in 1989 when he began taking piano lessons at the age of 10. Joe studied piano at WSOTA until 1997, when he received a music scholarship to attend the University of Florida. His professor was world renowned pianist, Boaz Sharon. Joe graduated from the University of Florida in 2001 with a BA in Business Administration and a Minor in Music. He has been playing at his church and teaching for the past 14 years. He specializes in classical and liturgical piano and uses primarily Alfred and Suzuki piano methods. His students have received superior ratings at Federation of Music Clubs and have gone on to compete at the state level.
Joe is also a Florida licensed realtor at Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realty with 17 years of combined mortgage banking/real estate experience. He’s an Orange Park, FL, native and Fleming Island resident of 16 years. He was born in Phoenix, AZ, and is of Filipino heritage. He loves to travel the world and has been to the Philippines, Canada, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Hawaii, London and Paris.
